Coaching
Working with Alan was a pleasure! From the outset he ensured that we agreed what the outcome of the coaching would look like, but also gave the opportunity for this to be reviewed as we went along. His style had the right balance of challenge and support and at the end of our coaching relationship, it was re-affirmed to me that I had chosen the right career path as well as being able to celebrate my successes and strategies in regards to my next career move!

I found the process constructive, positive and confidence boosting and the format appropriately thought provoking and challenging. I initially had some reservations about the follow up telephone support but having sat and discussed things, again found it valuable in terms of taking things forward. I found you very empathetic and encouraging and it was easy to be honest and open about my concerns. I have never had such an opportunity to discuss things so frankly and honestly with someone who has nothing to do with my work.

I can’t stress enough how valuable i found that session. I have to admit that i was wondering what we were going to talk about for a few hours, but you were right in what you said, the time really flew past, and I was completely absorbed in the discussion.I left feeling greatly encouraged by my conversation with Alan and the ground we had covered. The main thing I have brought away was the confirmation/realisation that I work very hard to project a persona at work – in line with what I think my organisation wants and that this is the result of years of conditioning and working hard to fit in with work culture. Continuing from that was the realisation that maybe my reluctance to be myself at work and let my own persona and strengths shine through could be holding me back.
In short, I think Alan helped me to recognise the work related baggage I’m carrying (prior to that discussion I would have denied having any).
